Welcome to HomeSpend ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your personal privacy. HomeSpend makes it easy to stay on top of the costs of owning and maintaining your home, keeping your expenses organized, tracking repairs and services, and managing warranties—all in one simple app. This policy explains how we handle information related to your personal data.
1. Data Collection and Storage
We believe privacy is a fundamental human right. Therefore, the App is designed with a "Local Data" principle:
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any data that can be used to identify you.
- Home Expense & Maintenance Data: Your expense records, repair and service logs, warranty details, categories, and financial statistics are stored directly on your local device.
- iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud features, relevant data will be encrypted and transmitted to your personal iCloud account. We have no access to your iCloud storage content.
2. How We Use Data
All data processed by the App is used exclusively for core functionalities:
- Tracking, organizing, and displaying your home expenses, repairs, and service histories.
- Storing warranty information and tracking coverage or expiration dates.
- Generating personalized household spending statistics, category overviews, and financial charts to help you make smarter decisions about your home.
3. Third-Party Services and Sharing
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to any third-party organizations. The App does not contain any third-party advertising trackers or analytics SDKs (such as AdMob or Facebook SDK).
4. User Control
You have full control over your data:
- You can edit or delete home records, expenses, and warranty files within the App at any time.
- Deleting the App will remove all data stored on the local device.
- You can manage or disable iCloud synchronization at any time through your device System Settings.
5. Information Security
Since data is stored locally on your device and within the secure iCloud environment provided by Apple, its security is protected by iOS system security and Apple’s privacy framework.
